Clubcard architect joins Nectar’s parent company as an adviser
London, 10th November 2011 – Aimia, a global leader in loyalty management that owns and manages the Nectar programme in the UK, has appointed Terry Hunt, co-founder of the pioneering DM agency, EHS 4D (formerly Evans Hunt Scott), to sit on its European Advisory Board.
Terry brings years of experience in the marketing and loyalty industry to the role, developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies for many well-known brands and retailers, including Barclays, HMV Waterstones, the Economist and The Daily Mail. He centres his strategies on encouraging customer engagement and rewarding loyalty. Terry has developed programmes for both the public and private sector and is the co-author of ‘Scoring Points’, the international bestseller that tells the story of how he and Clive Humby helped to conceive, launch and develop Tesco’s loyalty initiative, Clubcard.
Aimia’s European Advisory Board was founded in 2009 with the aim of assisting and advising Aimia’s European executive team on how to maximise growth opportunities for the business globally. The group also focuses on developing existing loyalty programmes across Europe, including Nectar in the UK, to ensure they are leading the field in customer-driven insight. Terry joins retail giant Richard Baker, who chairs the advisory board, Ian Filby, CEO of furniture retailer DFS, Rupert Duchesne, President and CEO of Aimia and David Johnston, President and CEO of Aimia for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
David Johnston said: “Terry Hunt is a true leader in loyalty marketing and has been a pioneer in our industry for 20 years. Terry’s vision of where the loyalty industry should be heading and Aimia’s strategy are very similar and we are therefore delighted he accepted our invitation to join our European Advisory Board and I am very much looking forward to working with him.”
Terry Hunt said: “My work has always been about creating richer, deeper relationships between brands and customers, and so I am hugely excited to be involved with the work Aimia is pioneering across the globe in this area.”
