It all began in 1938 with Curt Carlson's launch of the Gold Bond Stamp Company - a seminal event in loyalty marketing that saw Gold Bond stamps become one of the world's premier examples of loyalty currency, and Carlson Marketing become a world leader in customer loyalty management. While Mr. Carlson lacked all of the modern database and communication tools available to marketers today, the core idea - that businesses could issue promotional currency as deferred discounts to consumers to reward them for their loyalty - still drives customer loyalty strategies today.

Aimia’s Proprietary Loyalty Service now incorporates Carlson Marketing’s global loyalty marketing services and builds on the company’s heritage by leveraging its global footprint to deploy our full suite of loyalty management services to manage hundreds of the world's largest and most successful customer and business loyalty initiatives.
