Leading Global Data-Driven Marketing and Loyalty Analytics Company to Call Downtown Minneapolis Home
MINNEAPOLIS, May 12, 2015 – Employees of Aimia, the global data-driven marketing and loyalty analytics company, have packed up their Plymouth workspaces and moved to the heart of downtown Minneapolis.
“There is an energy and excitement in downtown Minneapolis that fits so well with Aimia,” said Kurt Paben, President of Aimia U.S. Channel & Employee Loyalty. “Our team is thrilled to join the vibrant downtown Minneapolis community and to bring our creativity and passion for great work with us.”
Aimia’s two U.S. business units – Channel & Employee Loyalty and Consumer Loyalty have relocated into Twins Territory at Butler Square, a historic office building on North 6th Street. Occupying more than 56,000 square feet of renovated space, the office has maintained the historic character of the building and features artworks by local artists.
“I am so proud to welcome Aimia – a company known as innovative and forward-thinking – to downtown Minneapolis,” said Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges. “With its thriving residential and business development, downtown is the perfect location for Aimia’s U.S. Headquarters. I thank Aimia for joining the companies who are taking advantage of the opportunity to invest in and tap our talented workforce while contributing to the vibrancy of our local economy.”
Aimia operates two distinct lines of business in the U.S.:
- The Aimia Channel & Employee Loyalty team is an industry leader in events, reward and recognition programs and marketing services – delivering meetings, conferences, incentives and events for some of the world’s most visible brands in the High Tech, Telecommunications, Automotive, Financial Services, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industries.
- The Customer Loyalty team leverages Aimia’s unmatched global expertise in data analytics, loyalty marketing and best-in-class technology to deliver precise customer insights and create loyalty programs that influence behavior and market share.
“We know that our people are key to what makes us a great company, and we know that a big part of attracting and keeping the best employees is providing them with a great place to work,” said Gerard Whelan, President of Aimia U.S. Consumer Loyalty. “Our new community and space are physical expressions of Aimia’s culture – open, nimble, creative and collaborative.”
As one of the largest employers to move to downtown Minneapolis in recent years, Aimia has planted its roots in the heart of downtown joining major employers such as Target, Wells Fargo, Ameriprise Financial, U.S. Bank and Xcel Energy.
“When you think about all the current growth and enhanced transportation options, there really is no better time to move downtown than right now,” said Minneapolis Downtown Council and Downtown Improvement District President/CEO Steve Cramer. “Downtown Minneapolis is the economic and entertainment capital of our region, and we’re excited Aimia is joining us as we continue creating an extraordinary downtown for our future.”
