MONTREAL, May 19 /CNW Telbec/ – Groupe Aeroplan Inc. (TSX: AER), today
announced the departure of Tony Buffin, Executive Vice President and Managing
Director, Groupe Aeroplan Europe, effective this summer.
Rupert Duchesne, President and Chief Executive Officer said: “Tony’s
leadership of the London office has ensured a smooth transition and
integration of the UK and Canadian loyalty businesses since we purchased
Loyalty Management Group in December 2007. His move from Chief Financial
Officer to Managing Director of the London business has helped us to establish
a truly international loyalty company including the acquisition of a
controlling stake in Air Miles Middle East, the launch of LMG Insight &
Communication and a number of international development opportunities. We wish
Tony all the best in his new endeavour.”
Tony will be moving to Melbourne, Australia to take up the position of
Chief Financial Officer of grocer Coles.
The corporation has commenced its search for his replacement.
