Milan, 16 December 2015: Nectar Italia announced today that it is to close its Nectar loyalty program at the end of February 2016.

Since its launch in March 2010 over 11 million customers have joined the Italian Nectar program, with the program having over 6 million active members at its peak. To date over 230 million Euros in rewards have been redeemed by members.

Customers can continue to collect their points in the program until the 29th February 2016 and spend until 1st March 2016. Customers can find out how to spend their points by visiting www.nectar.it or calling 02.321.162.16.

Fausto Tarditi, Managing Director, Nectar Italia: “Despite tremendous consumer engagement in the program, the continuing difficult economic climate meant that the program was not able to maintain its transformative position in the market.”
