CHICAGO – Aimia was honored with two Site Crystal Awards, for Exceptional Motivational Travel Program – North America and Corporate Social Responsibility as Part of an Incentive Program, at the Site Crystal Awards Recognition Program and Luncheon 8 December 2013 during the Site Global Conference in Orlando, Florida, USA.
In the category of Responsible Experiences – Most Impactful Effort Toward Corporate Social Responsibility as Part of an Incentive Program, Aimia was recognized for its “Microsoft EMEA Gold Club – School Supplies Drive.” In its inaugural year for integrating a corporate social responsibility (CSR) objective into a Gold Club program, Microsoft’s goal was to create a memorable experience that tied back to one of the company’s initiatives, “to empower youth to change their world.” Four schools in their incentive destination, Sun City, South Africa, were identified for a school supplies drive, and the response was overwhelming. The CSR element had a positive effect on the employees’ overall view of Microsoft and the corporate CSR mission, and many participants noted that it was the highlight of their trip.
“We are thrilled to be recognized as a Site Crystal Award recipient for our work with Microsoft,” said Kurt Paben, Senior Vice President, Head of Channel and Employee Loyalty, Aimia. “The school supplies drive was a true testament to the Microsoft Gold Club participants – it literally would not have been successful without their participation. It was heart-warming to hear the number of participants who packed extra luggage to carry their school supplies donations and asked how they could send more after the program.”
In the category of Exceptional Motivational Travel Program – Best in Class by Global Region – North America, Aimia received a Site Crystal Award for its “Volvo President’s Club” program. Aimia brought Volvo’s top performers to Napa Valley, California, where every element was suited to the best of the best, and the involvement of Volvo’s top executives reinforced the company’s commitment to and appreciation for these exceptional retailers. “Aimia was fortunate to be involved in such a strong relationship-building event. Volvo North America already maintains outstanding dealer relationships; however, based on results, the award trip heightened this loyalty,” commented Kurt Paben. “Aimia’s approach to event success is rooted in our proprietary Relationship Strength methodology. Setting goals with our clients prior to the trip, effectively communicating them and measuring against these objectives after the event is where true event success resides.”
